Hi, my name is Alex; Forest School leader and Founder of Little Owls Forest School.

I’m mum to two beautiful children, two cats, and wife to my awesome husband!

My love and passion for nature and the outdoors was sparked by my parents from an early age, I love sharing this passion with my own children, and the children (and parents/carers!) who come along to Little Owls Forest School.

Since graduating from Plymouth University in 2000 with a degree in Earth Science, I have worked for the Cornwall Wildlife Trust, Cornwall Environmental Consultants, as an Emergency Management Officer for Cornwall Council, a Nursery Educator, and a full time Mum for three years (the latter being the most challenging!). Following this I decided on a change of career to incorporate my two absolute passions; nature and the outdoors, and so I completed my Level 3 Forest School Leader training in 2020 and haven’t looked back!

As well as running sessions at Via Ferrata, we run sessions for one of the local Primary Schools.

I am fully insured, DBS checked, Paediatric First aid trained, HSE Equality and Diversity certified, hold the Level 2 Safeguarding Children certificate, and Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
